Timothy Muttoo, P.Eng.
Executive Director, Co-Founder
Timothy Muttoo is a Canadian engineer, inventor, entrepreneur and Co-founder and Executive Director of the innovative not-for profit Canadian Charity H2O 4 ALL.
He is currently pursuing a masters of public health at the University of Waterloo. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Ryerson University in Toronto.
Timothy has worked professionally as a licensed engineer in the water sector across North America designing, innovating and commercializing new technology that has affected millions of people in urban cities. Wanting to marry this expertise and beliefs for humanity, he co-founded the not-for profit Canadian charity H2O 4 All, which restores water, hygiene and sanitation to developing countries.
He has initiated sustainable technology, development of tools and good practices in over nine different developing countries around the world. He has come alongside more than 40 charitable organizations and three national governments increasing sustainability through interventions in rural areas.
In May 2014 Timothy was the recipient of a Grand Challenges Stars in Global Health Award for the project entitled ‘Synergy for Water Now’. In September 2014 Timothy was the recipient of a 2nd Grand Challenges Stars in Global Health Award for the innovative project entitled ‘Safe Water Flow’. The Stars in Global Health award which is funded by the Government of Canada supports bold ideas with big impact from the best and brightest talent.
He received the Inaugural Mentorship award from Ryerson University in November 2013 for his work in the mentorship of young professional leaders. In November 2015 Timothy received the Employer Mentor of the Year from Ryerson University in Toronto for his work in the mentorship of young leaders.
In addition, he is a partner of the United Nations University for Water, an environment and health think tank.
Timothy is a passionate, engaging speaker, working tirelessly to share H2O 4 ALL’s mission – bringing safe water to all.
